A tune composed by James Johnson in 1923 for the show Runnin' Wild that kicked off the dance craze. This arrangement and variations are played in standard tuning (EADGBE).

This famous march by Sousa, the theme tune for Monty Python's Flying Circus, is arranged for guitar in dropped D tuning (DADGBE).

Twelth Street Rag

Twelfth Street Rag is one of the most famous and best-selling rags of the ragtime era. It was written by Euday L. Bowman in 1914 and was most adeptly reinvented for the guitar by John James in the 1970s. This is loosely based on the James version and is played in normal tuning.

Ton of Blues

This blues was written by the Dutch guitarist Ton van Bergeijkin the 1970s. Originally a rather sedate blues, here I up the tempo and play it as an upbeat ragtime. It is in normal tuning.
