Celtic and Traditional Arrangements

Battle of the Somme - Southwinds - My ain Haim

Three traditional tunes played in the key of A in a D9th tuning (DADEAD). The Battle of the Somme is a Scottish 9/8 March by Willie Lawrie, Southwinds is a traditional Irish air and My ain Haim a Scottish air.

Boney over the Alps

I took this tune from a book of Northumbrian pipe tunes, but it also goes under the name of The hot asphalt. It is played in standard tuning in the key of A minor.

This Irish hornpipe is a well known session tune. It is played here at a rather more leisurely pace in D 9th tuning (DADEAD) and with an added introduction.
