    Another original blues-based tune with a contrapunctal bass line. It is played in open G minor tuning (DGDGBflatE).

Goodbye Pork Pie Hat

     

    A wonderfully evocative jazz standard written by Charlie Mingus in tribute to the death of the saxophonist Lester Young. Played in the key E minor in standard tuning.

 

    A much recorded jazz standard by the pianist George Shearing played in standard tuning in the key of E. The name refers to the Birdland Jazz Club in New York.
